Welcome to the blog. There are a couple of things I need to get out-of-the-way. First, Photomitch was a phrase that my friends used to shout at me when ever they wanted their picture taken. Photography box is a large storage area crammed full of photographic goodies just waiting to be discovered.

I hope that what you find posted here is interesting and helpful, if it is I will have done what I set out to do. To pass on a wealth of knowledge that has been picked up over the years! I will try to keep the posts short, to the point and under six hundred words if not I will break them up into smaller posts. In the dark months I hope to post at least once a week. In the sunny ( June, July, August and possible September) months this May drop to about once a month.

Now a few words about me. I’m pleased this next bit is being written by someone else! So I will leave you in their capable hands and maybe bump into you later looking around the blog.

Mitch was brought up in London, His Dad introduced him to the wonders of Photography and encouraged him by giving him a 120 format instermatic range finder, this fuelled his passion. It was not until he reached his late teens that he purchased his first Nikon SLR camera, this improved his picture-taking skills to a level that allowed him to take on commissions. After some years in the doldrums, his wife encouraged him to take a C&G photography course, which re-ignited his passion for photography. His modern art style of photography is influenced by Dali, Matisse, Picasso, Andy Warhol and the Art Deco movement to name a few.

He still takes a large number of his pictures using film.
